Mila Akopova and ‘Want Art Gallery’ present their personal exhibition of painter Nikita Makarov. Makarov was born into a family of famous artists from Moscow. Serious classical education allowed Makarov to have a quick start in independent art. Nikita Makarov’s portfolio currently includes more than 20 major exhibitions in both European and Russian museums, including the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts (2014), the House-Museum of the Muravyov-Apostles(2016) and the upcoming exposition in Moscow’s Museum of Modern Art.

Any collector today when assembling his or her collection includes in their collection the “point of views” of others, those spectators, whose perceptions create that special environment for the cultural and historical context of society. For me, this paradox of such co-existing in the exhibition space has defined boundaries of the reality and illusion in the project «Memory: Artifacts».
